HOUSE RULES

Welcome to Fundamental, the biggest faculty festival at TU Delft’s Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences! The following house rules, ticket conditions and privacy statements have been created by the Fundamental committee, together with the study associations Het Gezelschap "Practische Studie" and Mijnbouwkundige vereeniging, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Everyone who will be present at this event must adhere to the following rules:

General Rules

• Visitors who violate the house rules or legislation may be removed from the event premises without the possibility of re-entry or ticket refund. Purchased tokens or other value products are only valid during this edition of Fundamental and are non-refundable.
• Instructions from the organization, security personnel, or TU Delft staff must be followed at all times.
• Visitors must behave calmly and responsibly upon arrival or departure near the faculty to prevent nuisance to local residents.
• Access is only granted to visitors in possession of a valid ticket and valid identification. Additionally, visitors must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
• Visitors may be subject to inspection of personal belongings and a security pat-down. If a visitor refuses this, they may be denied access to the event.
• It is prohibited to bring consumables, liquids, glassware, cans, bottles, graffiti, markers, weapons or objects that could be used as weapons, fireworks, or any material that is (lightly) flammable or explosive onto the premises, as well as any type of material or object that may pose a danger. Items not permitted at the event will not be stored.
• The possession, use, or trade of soft drugs, hard drugs, or party drugs is strictly prohibited. This also applies to user quantities.
• Visitors who are intoxicated or appear to be under the influence of soft drugs, hard drugs, or party drugs will be removed from the event premises.
• Insult, threat, assault, intimidation, aggression, and discrimination are prohibited under the law, as well as all other forms of unwanted or boundary-crossing behavior.
• It is not permitted to re-enter the event premises after leaving or to pass tickets on to other visitors.
• It is not permitted to enter the premises with animals.
• Smoking is not allowed on the event premises unless a designated smoking zone is provided.
• It is not permitted to distribute materials on or directly around the event premises for the purpose of a demonstration, political goals, or commercial purposes.
• Property or items belonging to the event may not leave the event premises. It is also not permitted to take food, drinks, or cups outside the event premises.
• Stage diving, crowd surfing, and sitting on someone’s shoulders are not allowed, nor is throwing liquids, consumables, or other objects.

Privacy Terms

• Attendees consent to being recorded on video and audio media and to the publication of such recordings. No rights can be derived from this.
• Data Sharing: By purchasing a ticket for Fundamental, the visitor consents to the following data being shared with Enginear:
  • First name & Surname
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Study program
  • Graduation year
  • Place of residence
• Purpose of Data Processing: Enginear uses this data to inform visitors about (technical) career advice and relevant services. This may occur via email and phone.
• Telephone Contact and Right to Removal:
  • Enginear may contact the visitor by phone and/or email.
  • At any point, the visitor has the right to request that their data be removed from the system. You can read their full privacy agreement here.
  • In such cases, the data will be removed from Enginear’s systems as soon as possible.
• Retention Period:
  • If no removal request is submitted, Enginear will retain the data for a maximum of 24 months after the festival.
  • After this period, the data will be automatically deleted.
• Privacy and Data Protection:
  • The shared data will not be provided to third parties without consent.
  • Enginear and Fundamental implement appropriate security measures to protect the data.
• Agreement to Terms: By purchasing a ticket and attending the festival, the visitor agrees to these terms and the data processing as described above.
